NFL 2018 – Los Angeles Rams @ Chicago Bears Betting Preview

The final match of a dramatic and entertaining Sunday in the NFL comes from Soldier Field as two of the best three sides in the NFC collide when the Chicago Bears play host to the Los Angeles Rams in the Sunday Night Football.

It could very well be that these two will be playing out a rehearsal for the NFC Championship match next month but this one is pretty big in its own right with the New Orleans Saints already winning on Sunday.

Chicago Bears

The Bears have been one of the teams of the season but they slipped up against the New York Giants last week and can’t really afford successive defeats at this time of the season. Were they to lose here the door would be slightly ajar for the Minnesota Vikings and they will not want to allow that to happen so this is a big night for the Bears.

One of the reasons for their recent drop off in form has been an injury to quarterback Mitchell Trubisky but he is expected to return for this match which should see to a much stronger performance from the Bears on offense. With Khalil Mack wreaking havoc the defence should naturally perform well here.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have been one of the best sides in the NFC this season. They have been an offensive powerhouse and their defence has come up with the goods at the moments they have needed it the most. Such has been the form of the Los Angeles outfit that they wrapped up their division a week or two ago and now they are eyes down for the number one seed in the NFC to guarantee home field advantage throughout the play-offs.

Todd Gurley has got a lot of the plaudits for the Rams this season and rightly so but the quarterback play of Jared Goff on and off the pitch given all that has been going on with the Los Angeles community has been something that should be applauded. A couple more wins will secure top spot for the Rams and they will be hoping that one comes here.

Betting

I fancy we will get a high scoring match here. The Rams offense has been putting points up on everyone and although the Bears defence is pretty good they shipped 30 odd points to the New York Giants last week so it is anything but bomb proof in that regard. On the flip side of that the Rams have given up a stack of points this year and with Mitch Trubisky back Chicago should score well.

The points line in this one is at 51 which looks a few points short of where I would have it so it is the over that I like the look of in this match with both sides very much capable of putting up 27pts or more in a contest I expect to be more offensive than it might look on paper.
