NFL 2020 – Week 9 Sunday Early Games Tips, TV and Betting Preview

Another bunch of matches in the NFL takes place on Sunday when the bulk of the week nine fixtures take place as the picture for the divisions and the race for the play-offs begins to become a little clearer on a night where there are some good games.

As ever on a Sunday we have two matches live on TV and this year all the other matches are available to be viewed with certain bookmaker live streams. There is also RedZone for those who just want to see the key bits.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

The live match in the first of the two kick off slots comes from the AFC North where the Buffalo Bills host the NFC West leaders Seattle Seahawks in a match which pits two teams with six wins to their name up against each other. We have three divisional battles in this slot as well beginning with the Washington Football Team facing the New York Giants in the NFC East. Detroit Lions head to Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North with both teams needing to win there while down in the AFC South the Jacksonville Jaguars host the Houston Texans to determine who the worst team in the division is.

Two sides with five wins meet when the Tennessee Titans host the Chicago Bears while the Kansas City Chiefs will look to continue their march towards the AFC West title when they play host to the Carolina Panthers. The other two matches sees two more 5-2 teams colliding when the Indianapolis Colts host the Baltimore Ravens and then the Atlanta Falcons host the Denver Broncos to complete this section of games.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

There are three matches in the later time slot with the televised match seeing the latest instalment of Tua time as the 4-3 Miami Dolphins head to the desert to take on the 5-2 Arizona Cardinals. Elsewhere there is a clash in the AFC West between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders while the other match looks something of a mismatch when the struggling Dallas Cowboys host the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers.

Betting

I’ll go with a couple of bets from this set of matches beginning with the televised action in the first set of games where I like the idea of the Seattle Seahawks to cover a field goal against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills started the season very strongly winning their opening four matches but there have been signs over the last month or so that they are just starting to find the going a little tough. They are 2-2 for that period but the two wins were against the New York Jets and the New England Patriots and against weak defences their offense hasn’t looked as strong. We saw last week that Seattle are starting to improve on defence and with no sign of their offense slowing down I expect the Seahawks to come out on top here.

Later in the night it is hard to see anything but an emphatic victory for the Pittsburgh Steelers when they go up against Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys season has imploded. We don’t need to go into the details, they are out there for all to see but the fact is they are battered by injuries and once again have their third choice quarterback starting. Since the injury to Dak Prescott they have put up 22 points in three matches and they now face the best defence in the league and a side who are yet to lose. Pittsburgh have shown a great balance to their offense and haven’t scored less than 26 points in any game this season. If they keep scoring to that pace, given that it is hard to see Dallas getting double figures, Pittsburgh should be covering 14 points.
