NFL 2023 – Week 3 Sunday Early Games Tips and Betting Preview

The third week of action in the NFL 2023 season continues on Sunday when the majority of the matches take place in the early kick off times with 12 games on the schedule with some of them looking particularly tasty.

The schedule for Sunday is the same as always with two matches live in full on TV for us in the UK to enjoy while the RedZone show will have the best bits from all of the games. Certain bookmakers will stream the non-televised matches too.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

We head to MetLife Stadium for the first of the two TV matches on Sunday for a battle inside the AFC East as the New York Jets continue to work on life without Aaron Rodgers when they play host to the New England Patriots. That is one of just two divisional clashes in the first set of games with the other one coming from the AFC South where the Jacksonville Jaguars will look to pick up an important win when they host the Houston Texans.

Seven other matches take place first up on Sunday with the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns looking to bounce back from their loss to Pittsburgh on Monday night when they host the Tennessee Titans and the Detroit Lions facing the currently undefeated Atlanta Falcons. Elsewhere we have the Green Bay Packers hosting the New Orleans Saints while the Miami Dolphins will look to build on their unbeaten start when they come up against the Denver Broncos. Two powerful offenses meet when the Minnesota Vikings host the Los Angeles Chargers and the Washington Commanders welcome the Buffalo Bills to the capital.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

There are just the three matches in the later part of the evening on Sunday and so we are off to the home of the champions for the second of the TV matches. That sees the Kansas City Chiefs looking to build on their first win of the campaign last week when they go up against a Chicago Bears who have begun their season in very disappointing fashion with a pair of losses in matches they would probably have thought they had a good chance of winning going into them.

The other two matches in this set of games are hosted by teams in the NFC West. The Seattle Seahawks have already seen the San Francisco 49ers win on Thursday night so they know there is no room for them to slip up for a second time when they host the Carolina Panthers. The other game has the Arizona Cardinals looking to bounce back from surrendering a decent sized lead last week when they host the Dallas Cowboys, who look very good already this season.

Betting

I’ll keep my powder dry until the second set of matches where the Kansas City Chiefs look to have the opportunity to run riot on a Chicago Bears side who it has to be said already look in a bit of disarray. They have begun the season leaking points all over the place and their defensive coordinator had clearly had enough of what he had seen because he has walked out and that’s the last thing you need when you are about to take on Patrick Mahomes and this Chiefs offense.

I’m a little bit surprised that Kansas City are only being asked to cover 11 points in this match because I just don’t see where the Bears land a blow here. They have leaked the second most points of any team through two rounds and already their quarterback has thrown three interceptions and he has lost a fumble so if the Chiefs go up early then their third best defence in points allowed are going to go quarterback hunting and get him under pressure. This feels like a blowout KC win.
