The Premier League weekend draws to a close on Sunday afternoon with four matches as the eight teams who were not in action on Saturday grace the pitch for a third time in the space of a week looking for valuable points as we reach the halfway mark of the season.

Much like the majority of Sundays, we have a couple of matches live on the TV for us in the UK to enjoy and then the other two that aren’t in front of the cameras will get regular score updates throughout the TV coverage.

Sunday’s fixtures are as follows: (2pm unless stated; UK TV in brackets)

Everton v Chelsea

Fulham v West Ham United

Luton Town v Manchester City (Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United (4.30pm – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

The TV cameras take us to Kenilworth Road to open up the afternoon to see how two teams who lost in midweek respond when Luton Town, who went down in agonising fashion to the then leaders Arsenal, play host to the champions Manchester City, who were beaten at Aston Villa on Wednesday evening. When they are done two sides chasing the top four at the end of the season meet when Tottenham Hotspur host Newcastle United in a match both could do with winning given the form of Aston Villa in that chase too.

Elsewhere, away from the cameras Everton will look to continue to pull away from relegation trouble as they aim to follow up their win over Newcastle in midweek when Chelsea are the visitors to Goodison Park. Chelsea are the height of inconsistency so it will be interesting to see who turns up in that one. The other match is a London derby as Fulham look to build on their 5-0 midweek win when West Ham United are the latest team to head to Craven Cottage. The Hammers will be hoping for a second London derby win in three days.

Betting

There isn’t a huge amount that I like over the course of these matches but I do think the odds against on both teams to score at Kenilworth Road looks good. Had it not been for an absolute sitter that Luton Town missed against 10 man Tottenham earlier in the season then they would have scored in all seven of their home matches this season and that includes against Liverpool and Arsenal, two of the three sides above Manchester City in the table.

Man City go into this match without a win in four matches and in their last five in all competitions they have conceded 11 goals. Sheffield United, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all scored against Pep Guardiola’s men this season. City have conceded in six of their eight away matches this term and with the Hatters confident having just scored three times against Arsenal and with nothing to lose here I think both teams to score looks a good thing.
