The race for the Champions League places is under the microscope once again on Sunday when two more matches in the Premier League take place on the usual Super Sunday showdown of action in the top flight.
Three of the top six in the Premier League table are on show on Saturday so we should be getting some decent quality to continue the weekend with after some good matches so far in this round.

Liverpool vs Southampton
The afternoon begins with a match between Liverpool and Southampton. The home side might feel they want revenge for being knocked out of the EFL Cup by Southampton but really what they need are the three points to cement their place in the top four. Southampton can play with freedom with nothing on this one.
Liverpool got the job done on Monday night but there was nothing convincing about it and they slipped up in their last home game so you have to be a brave man to be backing them at odds on especially against a Southampton side who set up brilliantly to counter Liverpool’s high press and with Charlie Austin potentially back I wouldn’t be surprised if Southampton get something from this one.
I don’t think Southampton will be disgraced in this match by any means so I’m happy to ride their +1 Asian line to get us underway on Sunday.
Arsenal vs Man Utd
The match of the weekend comes from the Emirates Stadium where Man Utd can all but end Arsenal’s feint hopes of making it into the top four at the end of the season. A win would do that for Mourinho’s men and it would keep Man City in their sights in their own race for that fourth spot. Arsenal have to win this one.
Arsenal might need to win the match but they are far too short to be backing to do it to me. Man Utd are on this excellent undefeated run in the Premier League and although much is made of their injuries these days they had a pretty strong bench on show on Thursday night so I think they’ll have the quality to stifle Arsenal here and maybe even snatch a win. Mourinho has a hex on Wenger which could continue here.
