The final day of premier League action prior to the next international break comes on Sunday when we have a trio of matches in what is usually dubbed as ‘Super Sunday’. After a potentially pivotal day in the division on Saturday two sides with title ambitions are in action on Sunday to ensure the intrigue and quality should be high.

Arsenal vs Brighton
The action gets underway at the Emirates where Arsenal look to build on their good recent form when they host a Brighton side who are looking for back to back wins after seeing off Newcastle last weekend.
Arsenal were involved in the Europa League on Thursday night which could see them a little flat in this match and I’ve seen an interview with Arsene Wenger in the lead up to this match talking about how the mentality of his side needs to be right so it is clearly something he is thinking about.
I’m sure they will be fine because I don’t see Brighton threatening too much apart from maybe at set-pieces. They are without a number of strikers for this match and they are not going to see a whole lot of the ball. Arsenal should win this and I’d be surprised if Brighton find the net.
Everton vs Burnley
Another side who were involved in the Europa League in midweek were Everton and they are in action in the second match on Sunday when they host Burnley in a match which will see Michael Keane going up against his former club.
All is not well in the Everton camp right now. They beat Bournemouth last week but they don’t look convincing and their slackness cost them in the Europa League in midweek. Burnley have shown they can go to the so called bigger sides and compete this season. They won at Chelsea and held Tottenham and Liverpool on their own patch.
Everton are plenty short enough here but there isn’t quite as much value on the visitors as I would like so I’m happy to give this one a swerve.
Newcastle vs Liverpool
The match of the afternoon comes last up as Newcastle host Liverpool. This is a famous fixture in the Premier League after those two amazing 4-3 matches back in the 90s and hopefully this one will be as appealing on the eye as those were. It also sees Rafael Benitez going up against his former club.
Newcastle will be looking to bounce back from their defeat at Brighton last weekend while Liverpool will be aiming to build on their success at Leicester. I’ve a feeling this could be an open match. Newcastle usually go at teams at home and why wouldn’t you go at this Liverpool defence but there is plenty in the Liverpool attack to worry the home side. Over 2.75 goals appeals here.
