There is another full round of League 2 matches on Saturday as the 24 sides look to jostle for positions in the fledgling table. After two weeks of the season just one side have a 100% record which shows just how competitive this league is going to be this year.
Saturday’s matches are as follows:
Coventry v Newport
Exeter v Lincoln City
Accrington v Mansfield
Chesterfield v Port Vale
Crawley v Cambridge
Crewe v Barnet
Carlisle v Cheltenham
Forest Green v Yeovil
Luton v Colchester
Morecambe v Swindon
Stevenage v Grimsby
Wycombe v Notts County

Big Matches
The leaders Coventry play host to a Newport side who have drawn both their matches so far and are proving difficult to beat. Two sides who have got off to good starts meet at the Globe Arena when Morecambe welcome Swindon to town while second placed Mansfield head to Accrington in another appealing match.
Best of the Rest
Two sides yet to pick up a point from the season so far do battle in Sussex as Crawley take on Cambridge while the other pointless side so far in Chesterfield host fellow relegated side Port Vale. Luton take on Colchester in two sides established in this division while there is a local derby of sorts when Forest Green welcome Yeovil to the New Lawn.
Betting
I like three bets in this division on Saturday. The first is Cambridge away to Crawley. I wondered if Crawley were going to be out of their depth this season and the early answers that they are. It was going to be a tough ask for Harry Kewell to keep the Sussex side competitive after losing their goal machine James Collins. Cambridge may not have a point this season but they have played two sides who lost in the play-offs last season. The U’s potentially face their best opponents so far and I expect them to translate that into a result.
I also like goals in the match between Forest Green and Yeovil. We all know what happened to Yeovil on the opening day of the season and they followed that up with another high scoring match against Accrington last week. Forest Green have conceded a pair of goals in both matches so far as their defence struggles to acclimatise to the Football League. The veggie lot do have goals in them though so this should extend into another high scoring game.
I fancied Cheltenham to be relegated this season and I haven’t seen a whole lot that has changed my mind. They make the long trip to Carlisle on Saturday and I expect them to come away empty handed. Carlisle were upstaged by Swindon on the opening day but I don’t think that will look a bad result for long. They got a win under their belts last week at Cambridge. Cheltenham lost to Morecambe and beat a poor Crawley side. Both sides might be on three points but I don’t think there are any other parallels between the two. I’m with the hosts here.
