There are two matches in Sky Bet League 2 on Tuesday evening with the promotion and play-off mix in the spotlight as sides who missed a fixture during the last round of FA Cup fixtures catch up with their schedule.
Newport vs Morecambe
Newport have the chance to move back up to fifth in the table on Tuesday night when they host Morecambe who make the long trip to Rodney Parade looking to put three more points between them and the bottom two.
I saw Morecambe with my own eyes just three days ago and I actually thought they set up well and caused Luton one or two problems. Whether they raised their game for that match or that is their current standard I guess we will only find out here but if they can repeat that form they would have every chance.
Newport are in excellent form right now but I’m always reluctant to back a side ahead of a huge occasion and they certainly have one of them on the horizon given that Spurs come to town at the weekend. Morecambe tempt me but not quite enough.

Notts Co vs Crawley Town
Notts County get the opportunity to move to within three points of leaders Luton when they entertain Crawley Town on Tuesday night. While chasing Luton is one thing I would imagine their priority will be putting points between them and fourth place with that gap currently only two points.
Crawley head to Nottingham in decent form. They saw a three match winning streak come to an end last time out but I don’t think there is too much shame in losing to Newport right now. With nothing to lose they can have a real go at the league leaders who will be looking to bounce back from defeat on Saturday.
The Magpies have a very good home record. Saturday was the first time all season they have lost at home and losing to Exeter is no disgrace. You have to respect that home form but Crawley are improving all the time and given that the home side aren’t much of a price I’ll sit this out too.
