The final round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge will take place on Sunday and someone will walk away with a pile of cash and the penultimate event of both the European Tour season and the inaugural Rolex Series.
It is set to be a fascinating final 18 holes with a really intriguing leaderboard too with big names stalking a surprise leader heading into what should be a fantastic Sunday of golf.
Saturday Recap
On a much lower scoring day in the South African heat we had a change of lead as Scott Jamieson became the man to take a one shot lead into the final round. He will begin Sunday’s round on eight under the card while Victor Dubuisson remains firmly in the hunt a shot further behind.
Two real class acts sit a few shots off the lead on five under with a couple more looking to take advantage of slip ups on three under. Martin Kaymer and Branden Grace are the duo on five under while Francesco Molinari and Haydn Porteous are on three under. A star studded group sit on two under including Lee Westwood, Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel and Tommy Fleetwood.
Saturday wasn’t so good for us betting wise with Benjamin Hebert running into a bit of a train in the form of Branden Grace but we are still ahead for the week with match bets with a round left to play on Sunday.

Sunday Betting
The only big market to go at on Sunday is the outright market and even though I have Joost Luiten on the fringes of things I have to admit that I’m tempted to get involved again. I think Victor Dubuisson will win the tournament from here but final round favourites don’t have a good record recently and that is putting me off. Ultimately it might be a market to bet in play rather than pre-round. With that in mind it is the three balls for me for Sunday.
Sunday 3 balls
The final group of Scott Jamieson, Victor Dubuisson and Branden Grace go out at 8.41 GMT and they are sure to be very popular with the crowds as will the group that sees Ross Fisher, Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen going out at 8.08 GMT. It is another group that catches my eye from a betting point of view though.
Tommy Fleetwood/David Drysdale/Mathieu Pavon
Match tees off at 08.19 GMT
The Race to Dubai leader Tommy Fleetwood heads out in the third last group of the day when he goes out alongside two men who are having and will have good golf careers but who are not used to being out this late on Sunday.
You have to credit the likes of David Drysdale who goes out everywhere to earn a living and with that in mind I hope he doesn’t buckle too much in this final round but his stats off the tee aren’t the best this week and neither are his putting stats so I fancy on a tough final day he could struggle.
Mathieu Pavon is much better statistically this week but even he doesn’t match up to Tommy Fleetwood and with the wins he has achieved this year he should be very comfortable in this position. The 10/11 on him winning this group looks a very good thing.
