It is the final round of the WGC Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club on Sunday and after a fascinating moving day on Saturday we are left with the prospect of a fantastic conclusion to the tournament.
With a major championship next week everyone in contention here will be looking for the boost of a title to take to Quail Hollow with them but whoever takes the title down will have to do so in a Sunday shootout.
Saturday Recap
We have joint leaders heading into the final round with Thomas Pieters and Zach Johnson locked at nine under par while Scott Hend is a shot further back. That trio are not clear of the field though. Hideki Matsuyama is on seven under while Rory McIlroy is in a trio of players on six under stalking the leaders.
Unfortunately Saturday was not a good day for us betting wise as we lost both bets. Once again one of the losers was an annoying tie which was not helpful but there is one more day left so hopefully we can turn that around. We still have a couple of outrights on the fringes of things who could pay something out with a good final round too.

Sunday Betting
Those with the best chances on Sunday are reflected with pretty short prices heading into the final round so it is hard to get motivated to have another crack at the outright market which sends me to the two balls where once again the entire list of pairings have been priced up.
Sunday 2 balls
The leaders go out at 7.05pm UK time and is an interesting mix being the power of Thomas Pieters and the straight hitting precision of Zach Johnson. It is a group out earlier in the evening that catches my attention from a betting point of view though.
Kevin Chappell vs Jason Day
Match tees off at 18.05 BST
Jason Day goes off as the favourite to see off Kevin Chappell in the final round but I wonder just how motivated he will be here. He begins six shots off the lead and barring something quite extraordinary from those in front of him he is not going to be winning from that position so his mind may already be on next week rather than this.
I don’t see that being the case for Kevin Chappell. Of course he will be thinking of next week but he has Presidents Cup points to play for if those in front don’t come back to him so he shouldn’t lack for motivation. Day has been struggling with his back for most of the week which is another issue so at solid odds against I like Chappell in this one.
