The fourth set of matches in the UEFA Nations League get underway on Tuesday evening when those nations who were in action on Saturday getting back on the pitch for what could be a pivotal set of games in the groups that are being played.
Spain and Germany are among the big nations on show on an evening where in the main the minnows get the chance to shine as 14 teams battle it out for points which may not only assist in promotion in this competition but smooth a pathway to the World Cup.
League A
There are two matches in the top league on Tuesday night and they both come from Group 4 where Spain will look to maintain top spot in the section when they make the trip to Kiev to take on a Ukraine side who were beaten 4-0 in the reverse fixture. Should Spain slip up there could be a chance for Germany to go top. The former world champions host a Switzerland team who are desperate for a win to ease their relegation fears.
League C
There are just two matches in the third tier of the competition on Tuesday evening where Group 1 is the centre of attention. The top meet in the pick of the matches in the section when Montenegro host Luxembourg with the home side potentially wrapping up top spot and promotion should the win the game by any sort of margin. Elsewhere in the group Azerbaijan will go in search of a much needed win when they host a Cyprus side who have really struggled at this level.
League D
We have a full set of matches in the basement tier of the tournament on Tuesday evening where in Group 1 the Faroe Islands will be looking to keep themselves in control of top spot when they host an Andorra side who are yet to win in this section. Two other winless sides meet in the early kick off when Latvia host Malta with both teams really needing to win if they are going to lay down any sort of challenge to the Faroes for top spot in the next international break. In Group 2 Liechtenstein will be under pressure to beat San Marino to keep up the heat on Gibraltar.

Betting
I’ll begin this round of matches with just the one bet on Tuesday evening and that comes in the form of Montenegro who look the standout team in League C right now and who have the motivation of being able to all but tie up top spot in their group should they overcome Luxembourg. Luxembourg are an improving nation, as highlighted by the fact that they are going to be perfectly safe in the third tier group this season, but Montenegro just look to have that extra class.
The Montenegrins have won all three matches in the group so far, including a 1-0 success in the reverse meeting, and are yet to concede a goal. They might not be a free scoring side just yet but that is going to come as they build up confidence with more wins. As I mentioned when backing Montenegro on Saturday at this level I’m looking for the teams with the standout player on the park and that is Stevan Jovetic once again here. I like Montenegro to win this one.
