When the action concludes in Germany, the majority of week nine of the NFL 2023 season will be played out across the two usual kick off slots on Sunday, one where contenders will look to strengthen their claims for glory this term.
Even though the Germany game is live on TV in the UK, we have two more live matches to enjoy in full while the Red Zone coverage will give us the best bits of all the games. Some bookmakers will stream the non-live games too.
1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)
We will have seen two of the teams who start the day with a 6-2 record in the AFC in the earlier game in Germany and we will see another in the TV game in the UK in the first set of matches in America on Sunday as the Baltimore Ravens host the Seattle Seahawks in a game which will see Lamar Jackson and co look to strengthen their grip on the AFC North standings. Seattle head to Baltimore 5-2 for their own season and on top of the NFC West so this should be a great game.
Six other matches take place in the first part of the day with the only other team on show with a winning record being the Cleveland Browns. They play host to the Arizona Cardinals. Two 4-4 teams meet in Georgia when the Atlanta Falcons take on the Minnesota Vikings while at Lambeau Field both the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams will look to turn their form around. Elsewhere, the Houston Texans host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots take on the Washington Commanders and the New Orleans Saints meet the Chicago Bears.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)
Just the three matches take place in the second of the two regular kick off slots on Sunday and the TV game is a huge one in the NFC East as the champions of that division, Philadelphia Eagles, take on rivals Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles have made a great start to the season and go into the game 7-1 for the year. The Cowboys are 5-2 so if they lose this game they would drop three games behind Philadelphia and would probably only be looking at a wildcard spot in the NFC so this is a huge game.
That leaves us with two matches with all four teams having losing records and probably needing a win to keep their campaign alive. The Carolina Panthers are 1-6 for the year so they are probably done so the Indianapolis Colts will look to better their 3-5 record. The other match sees the 3-5 Las Vegas Raiders, who are changing off the field, going up against a 2-6 New York Giants who do at least have quarterback Daniel Jones back for this game.
Betting
I’m very surprised that we can get a points line of just 46.5 for the match between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys given the offensive weapons that are on show in this match, particularly within the home side. Generally matches between these two are high scoring in recent times. The last five matches between these two division rivals have yielded totals of 54, 62, 77, 43 and 74 points and that is a trend I fancy to continue.
You have to fear a bit for this Dallas defence. A.J. Brown is proving to be the best receiver in the league at the minute with six straight 100+ yard games but if the Cowboys can manage to slow him down then DeVonta Smith is pretty potent on the other side. In the unlikely event they slow both down then Dallas Goedert and the running game is a huge threat. You sense the Cowboys are going to need to fight fire with fire here and thankfully for them Dak Prescott isn’t short of receiving targets to aim for, while the Dallas run game can get them down the field too. With these offenses and certain players going as well as they are I expect to see at least 47 points in this one.
