There are two matches in the MLS this midweek with both matches on Wednesday involving some of the star names in the league which should showcase the league further ahead of another round of fixtures this weekend.
We see the top two in the Eastern Conference table on show on Wednesday evening and one of the best in the Western Conference too so the standard should be high.

Toronto FC vs Orlando City
The leaders of the Eastern Conference head to Canada for their latest match as Orlando City go to BMO Field to take on a Toronto FC side who are notoriously tough to beat on their own patch. This is a match that sees two of the best in Sebastian Giovinco and Kaka going head to head.
In previous seasons this could well be expected to be high scoring but both sides have been much harder to break down this season and are controlling matches a lot more so I suspect this could be a more defensive battle even allowing for the star quality that is on show. Part of me still wants to back goals but the line is a shade on the high side so I’ll sit this one out.
Sporting Kansas City vs New York Red Bulls
Top spot is up for grabs for the Sporting Kansas City when they go into their cross-conference encounter with the New York Red Bulls. The Red Bulls themselves can go top of their own conference if they can find a win and Orlando lose earlier in the evening.
New York Red Bulls go into this match off the back of three successive wins although they have been to significantly inferior opposition than they face in this match. Sporting Kansas City have won three of their last four with an acceptable defeat to FC Dallas sandwiched in between.
I like the home side here. I’m not convinced by the Red Bulls at the minute and with Benny Feilhaber back in the side and inspiring them I fancy SKC here. They are notoriously tough to break down and have only conceded three goals all season. That defensive stability combined with an improving attacking force makes them the bet here.
