A massive weekend of action in the Premier League continues on Sunday afternoon when four fixtures take place up and down the country on a day where we might get the clearest indication yet where the title could end up.
We have two matches on TV in the UK to enjoy and they look like being absolute crackers, and given the impact the other two games could have on the table you would imagine the TV coverage will keep us fully updated on the other matches.
Sunday’s fixtures are as follows: (2pm unless stated; UK TV in brackets)
Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspur (1pm – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)
Brighton and Hove Albion vs Nottingham Forest
West Ham United vs Burnley
Liverpool vs Manchester City (3.45pm – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

Preview
There is no doubt where the majority of the attention will be on Sunday afternoon. That is Anfield where the top two going into the weekend meet as Liverpool host Manchester City. Both have seen Arsenal overtake them on Saturday so whoever loses this match will end the weekend in third place and with their destiny out of their hands. The winners will be in control of the title race. That is one of the two TV matches with the other coming at Villa Park as the race for the Champions League is in the spotlight when the teams who are fourth and fifth meet as Aston Villa welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the second city. You would imagine if they are going to finish fourth this is a match Tottenham can’t afford to lose.
The other two matches are more likely to affect things at the bottom of the table than anywhere else with two of the bottom four in action. Burnley dropped to last place on Saturday and they head to the London Stadium looking to avoid defeat to come off the foot of the table. Nottingham Forest are now just three points above the drop zone and they will look to ease their immediate relegation concerns when they make the trip to the coast to take on a potentially wounded Brighton and Hove Albion side.
Betting
I’ll take one bet to hopefully add to the two winners that I picked up on Saturday and that comes at Anfield where I think Manchester City are the ones to be on. I’ll play it slightly safe and have the draw slightly on my side but I do think that this City side are moving through the gears and this might not be a bad time to face Liverpool, not just because of their well-documented injury concerns but also because the Reds have just been to the Czech Republic for a Europa League tie.
Liverpool are steadily getting players back with the likes of Darwin Nunez now seemingly back up to speed but Mo Salah will still be finding his groove and then they have players such as Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota missing. Man City have no such issues and they are able to rotate their squad enough to make sure they can peak for these big games. City don’t have a great record at Anfield but that might only add further fuel to their fire and this assuming this one could be decided by who comes off the bench, City have enough of an edge to be taken here.
