Premier League – Saturday 6th May Matches Betting Preview

The latest set of Premier League fixtures continue on Saturday afternoon with six more matches across the usual three kick off times. Attention will mostly be at the bottom of the table on Saturday but we shouldn’t ignore the race for the top four which could take another twist on a relatively busy day.

Man City are the side aiming to take advantage of others in the race for the Champions League spots not playing until later in the weekend while at the bottom two sides heavily involved in the safety battle are in action.

Early Kick Off

Man City get the day underway when they welcome Crystal Palace to the Etihad Stadium. City can put four points between them and their Manchester rivals with a win here but Palace need the points in their bid to stay up so there is plenty on this one.

3pm Matches

In one of few matches with little meaning this weekend Bournemouth host Stoke in a match which has nothing on it other than to enhance mid-table positions for the two. Burnley need a win to be sure of survival and they will hope that comes against West Brom while Leicester host Watford at the King Power Stadium. Hull City know it is must win for them when they welcome Sunderland to the KC Stadium.

Late Game

Swansea need three points from their home clash with Everton desperately but the Toffees might not have given up hope of a top six finish this season and a win will take them above Arsenal albeit the Gunners have games in hand. Swansea can leap frog Hull with a win should Hull not beat Sunderland earlier in the day.

Betting

I’m going with three bets on Saturday. Usually I would explain each one in detail but really there isn’t a lot of point. I’m taking three home sides who each have something to play for against three away sides playing for little and who go into the matches out of form.

Burnley, Hull City and Leicester all still need something from Saturday’s matches. Leicester might not need the points for survival but they do for their morale and to get everyone behind them fully once again. A top half finish to back up the title win would be no shame. The other two are fairly obvious with Burnley playing a West Brom side who’ve lost their last four and Hull taking on a useless Sunderland.
