The latest round of action in the Super League continues on Friday evening when a massive four matches take place in the competition as eight more teams look to strengthen their position in the league table.
One of the four matches will be shown live on TV with the updates on the other three games coming through the various ways of keeping up to date. I would imagine the TV coverage will be all over the other games too.
Friday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)
Catalans Dragons vs Hull FC (18.15)
Salford Red Devils vs Huddersfield Giants (19.30)
Hull KR vs Wigan Warriors (19.45 – Sky Sports Arena)
Leigh Centurions vs Leeds Rhinos (20.00)

Preview
The televised match sees the beaten Grand Final team Wigan Warriors heading to Craven Park to take on a Hull KR side who will be looking to cement their place in the top six ahead of a huge derby clash next week. The other appealing match on the evening is the first one to begin which sees Catalans Dragons with the chance to move back to the top of the table when they play host to a Hull FC team who are competent when they are right at it.
The other two matches probably effects the lower end of the table rather than the upper echelons of it as the Salford Red Devils host a Huddersfield Giants side who look to have found their feet finally after a period of struggle. The other match sees rock bottom Leigh Centurions, who look under threat of leaving the competition at the end of the season with relegation set to be maintained, hosting a Leeds Rhinos who will be smarting after being touched off by the Castleford Tigers last week.
Betting
There isn’t a whole lot that I like over the course of the evening but the one bet I do like is for the Huddersfield Giants to continue their good form and get the better of the Salford Red Devils. Huddersfield have won their last three matches and they are getting the ball out to Jermaine McGillvary who has bagged seven tries in those wins so he is in red hot form right now and he’ll be tough for the Red Devils to contain.
It has been a bit of a sombre week for Salford with the news that their captain Lee Mossop has had to retire and that isn’t making what has been a tough season any easier. They have been decimated by injuries anyway but they haven’t always helped themselves at the same time either. They have lost their last two matches and just look to be getting Huddersfield at the wrong time here. I’ll go with the visitors in this one.
