After a match on Friday night we have 11 matches in League 2 to look forward to on Saturday with a number of sides looking to prove that their strengthening in this transfer window has been successful by grabbing three valuable points.
The promotion race and the battle to avoid the drop will play out another chapter in what is becoming a gripping story so there is much to look forward to over the course of the day.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows:
Accrington Stanley v Port Vale
Barnet v Lincoln City
Colchester United v Grimsby Town
Coventry City v Swindon Town
Crewe Alexandra v Wycombe Wanderers
Forest Green Rovers v Cambridge United
Luton Town v Morecambe
Mansfield Town v Cheltenham Town
Notts County v Exeter City
Stevenage v Carlisle United
Yeovil Town v Chesterfield
Big Matches
There are two standout fixtures on the card on Saturday. Second placed Notts County host promotion chasing Exeter City while two sides who were in League One last season and who will be wanting to get back there meet at the Ricoh Arena when Coventry City host Swindon Town. The leaders Luton play host to Morecambe at Kenilworth Road.
Best of the Rest
At the other end of the table Graham Westley will take charge of Barnet for the first time when they host Lincoln City while Forest Green play host to Cambridge United. Chesterfield will look to build on their win over Luton last week when they head to Yeovil Town who might have more than half an eye on Friday night’s huge clash. Accrington host Port Vale in another decent looking game.

Betting
I’ll go with two bets in this division. Morecambe have hit a little bit of form in recent times but they are going to be up against it when they head to Kenilworth Road to take on a Luton side who just need a performance and a convincing win to put any anxiety about a couple of poor results to bed. Kenilworth Road is so hard for visiting teams to play at these days and it doesn’t matter who goes there if they concede early teams tend to get well beaten. Morecambe’s season won’t be defined by this match which is good because I expect them to be soundly beaten. Luton have won four of their last five home games with the draw in between being against a good Notts County side. All four wins have been by two or more and this can be too.
Crewe Alexandra sold their best player to Peterborough in midweek so they might struggle in the aftermath of that when Wycombe come to town. Wycombe are going pretty well at the minute and they have been adding players to their squad be it with returning players or new signings and they are gearing themselves up for a bash at promotion in the second half of the season. If they are to get that they need to get the three points here which I think they can do.
Tips
