Big Matches

The action will get underway in Canada on Saturday when Toronto FC look to build on their draw against Inter Miami last weekend when they play host to Minnesota United while Atlanta United will look to put three points on the board in another of the early kick offs when they host the New England Revolution and the other standalone game in the early part of the night will see the new attacking core of Orlando City SC put to the test when they welcome the New York Red Bulls to Florida. We have to wait for Sunday for the Eastern Conference leaders to compete so the Vancouver Whitecaps are the only table toppers on show on Saturday evening. The Western Conference leaders host fourth placed Austin FC in a juicy looking match.

Best of the Rest

Were Vancouver Whitecaps to lose then San Diego FC could end the night on top of the Western Conference table if they can go to the altitude of the Colorado Rapids and pick up three points in what might be the technically best game of the night. LA Galaxy will look to spark their title defence into life when they host the Houston Dynamo while Los Angeles FC have a clash of California with San Jose Earthquakes. With the top two in the Eastern Conference not in action on Saturday evening the Philadelphia Union and FC Cincinnati both have the chance to end the night on top of the table when they travel to New York City FC and DC United respectively. CF Montreal finally get to play at home for the first time this season when they welcome Charlotte FC to Stade Saputo.

Betting

This is another weekend where I think the better bets come along in the Sunday action but I can’t ignore the odds against on FC Cincinnati to get the better of DC United without the draw in play. DC go into this one off the back of a 6-1 mauling in San Jose last week and that defence, which was a huge concern prior to that match, is becoming a serious problem and one which you would expect this Cincinnati attack to get the better of almost at will if they are on it.

DC United have now conceded 17 goals in their seven matches this season and with Cincinnati having three strong centre-backs to nullify Christian Benteke as much as he can be nullified, the visitors have the tools to do it. They also have an attack which can take advantage of this weak defence. Cincinnati haven’t been fantastic on their travels but their two defeats were in Philadelphia and Charlotte and not many are getting anything from there. Plenty will get something from DC and I think Cincy can be the latest.

Tips

Back FC Cincinnati to beat DC United (DNB) for a 3/10 stake at 2.10 with Bet365
