Turkey Team Preview – Overview
Former semi-finalists Turkey are back in this tournament for the first time since that famous run in 2008 where they so nearly made it to the final and who knows what they could have achieved. Having made the World Cup semi-final in 2002 this is a nation that are getting a reputation for being a tournament team when they qualify for them.
It was a bit of a struggle for Turkey in the early stages of qualifying but they came good in the end to make it into this tournament courtesy of having the best record of all the teams in third place. Since then they have kicked on and arrive here ready for another deep run in a big competition.

Betting
Betting on this side isn’t easy really. Although Burak Yilmaz is the standout forward player in the side they are a team who shares their goals around so nobody really stands out as value in the top goalscorer markets which is a shame.
I’ve already got involved in their group from a betting point of view and with the two strong sides in the group I don’t really want to get involved in any of those sort of markets especially as my group bet could come down to Turkey beating the Czech Republic. I’ll leave Turkey alone for bets.
