Another Sunday in the NFL season brings about another strong set of matches as the bulk of the week four games take place across America. We hit the 25% mark for the campaign at the end of these matches so everything is just beginning to get a little serious.
The week began in entertaining style with Philadelphia picking up a fine win in Green Bay and across the usual two kick off times we should get plenty more of the same on what looks like a decent night in the NFL.
1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)
The TV match in this set of games comes from the AFC East where the New England Patriots make the short trip to take on the Buffalo Bills in a clash between two unbeaten sides. There are two other matches from the same division where the Baltimore Ravens host the Cleveland Browns in the AFC North while the New York Giants welcome the Washington Redskins to MetLife Stadium in the NFC East.
Elsewhere there is another clash between two unbeaten teams when the Kansas City Chiefs head to take on the Detroit Lions. Houston Texans will look to extend their winning record when they welcome the Carolina Panthers to Texas while Indianapolis Colts will be doing likewise when they take on the Oakland Raiders. The other match in this set of games sees the Miami Dolphins taking on the Los Angeles Chargers.
4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)
We go to the NFC North for the TV match in this second set of matches as the Chicago Bears host the Minnesota Vikings and although there are only four matches in this kick off slot there is another divisional one to be enjoyed on Game Pass or other methods. That sees the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Seattle Seahawks. The other two matches sees the Los Angeles Rams taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Denver Broncos hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Betting
I’ll take two bets over the course of the day in these matches. Given the hype and the optimism over Daniel Jones I get why the New York Giants are the favourites to beat the Washington Redskins but he’ll have no Saquon Barkley and his defence is still very questionable so even if they win this match I suspect it will be a shootout and one of those whoever scores last wins sort of matches. Washington have some good receiving options for Chase Keenum to find to exploit this weak Giants defence and with that in mind I fancy the Redskins can rise the 3.5pt start and hang onto it come the end.
Denver Broncos haven’t impressed anyone this season and I suspect they are going to struggle against the Jacksonville Jaguars. There has been a lot of negative news around the Jaguars with the Jalen Ramsey episode but they picked up their first win in the Thursday game last time out and have had extra time to prepare for this one. The Denver offense hasn’t got going and even a stuttering Packers offense overwhelmed their defence. You would think there is a good chance of a low scoring game here but Gardner Minshew is on a high at the minute and he can lead his side to victory.
