The latest weekend in the Super League comes to a close on Saturday when the remaining two matches are both played out on an afternoon which might give us a look at where the balance of power behind St Helens lies this term.
In what has been a wonderful round of action so far we have both matches on the TV on Saturday so those who like their Super League fix can sit back and not miss any of either game on what looks a competitive afternoon.
Huddersfield Giants vs Castleford Tigers (15.15 – Sky Main Event & Sky Sports Arena)
The first of the two matches to take place on Saturday afternoon comes from the John Smith’s Stadium when the Huddersfield Giants look to continue a positive beginning to the season when they host local rivals Castleford Tigers.
The Tigers finally got off the mark for the campaign last week and will be out to show that they are fully up and running but the Giants are going along nicely this term despite a loss at Wigan a couple of weeks ago and have the platform to show what they are all about here. Castleford finally saw an increase in their discipline and the spine of their side combined to get the better of Hull FC last week, a result which doesn’t look too bad now given how well they went on Thursday night. I still think the Giants are the ones to be on here but they are fairly short so I’m happy to leave this one alone.

Catalans Dragons vs Wigan Warriors (17.30 – Sky Sports Arena)
The second match of the day is the final game of this round of matches and it sees the last two beaten finalists in the Grand Final battling it out when the Catalans Dragons host Wigan Warriors in a real standout contest.
The Dragons lost their opening match against the champions St Helens but have won their three games since then and looked very good in beating Warrington last week without some key men. Wigan have made a perfect start to the season but left one or two doubts over their form when they fell across the line against Toulouse Olympique last weekend and won’t need reminding that they were blown away in this part of France last season, going down 48-0. Catalans have plenty of first-choice personnel back since their win last week and look a lot stronger going into this one and I think the pressure they will put on the Wigan try line will cause the Warriors to crack. I’m more than happy to be on a much stronger Catalans side at 4/5 here.
