West Indies conclude their tour of New Zealand on Wednesday with a third and final T20 and they do so still looking for their first victory on what has been a pretty disastrous tour for them so far.
They were well beaten in the Test matches and the ODIs and offered little resistance in the first T20. The tourists were also on their way to another heavy defeat in the second T20 before the rain saved them. New Zealand go into the match looking to maintain their winning run.
New Zealand
Things have pretty much gone perfectly to plan for New Zealand in all three formats of the game so far and the best thing for them has been that they have been able to rest and rotate the senior members of their squad to ensure they are able to compete in much of the huge amount of cricket they have coming up.
In this series New Zealand have gotten ahead of the rate right from the beginning and although they slowed down in the first match the fact that they employ a number of all-rounders means they still have firepower to get the job done at the end of the innings. Those all-rounders ensure there are enough bowling options to make sure nobody can be targeted.
West Indies
You have to say West Indies have been very disappointing in the game and a half of the T20 series that we have seen. They are the world champions in this format and have prided themselves on their ability and performances in this sphere but they have looked very poor so far and in truth it is hard to find a positive for them.
I guess the spinners have bowled ok for them but the seamers have gone around the park, their fielding has been loose and their batting in the first match was very poor. They are going to need a real shake up if they are to pick up an elusive win to take on the flight home with but there have been little signs of that.
Team News
If it wasn’t bad enough for West Indies, New Zealand are expected to bring Trent Boult back for this match. He is set to come into the side in place of Doug Bracewell making the Kiwis potentially stronger.
Amazingly Kesrick Williams got another go in the second game of the series but surely he will be canned this time around. Jerome Taylor has big claims for a recall to the side in his place.

Betting
The second game of the series was washed out and it appears we might need to dodge some rain for this match as well which puts me off getting involved in the outcome of it as the toss could play a more significant part than we would like.
I will have a go with a player performance though. It is the same one as I took in the last game. Carlos Brathwaite had taken a blinding catch and still had three overs to bowl and his batting innings to come so there was every chance to was going to run up the points and I’ll take him to cover 36.5 again here. The same theory as on Wednesday applies. Hopefully the rain stays away and gives him the chance to cover this time.
